You can understand my work to be going through a process of destruction at two different speeds.

By virtue of the materials used in the work (unstable, sometimes rotting newspaper pulp) and their manner of construction (forms precariously balanced, hastily tied), the work has built into it an inevitable amount of decay and vulnerability.  This is the slower speed in which the work deteriorates; in a neutral, agentless manner.

Secondly, the work suggests a faster, agentfull destruction, a kind of violence that is no longer neutral.  To be fair, this second activity is not always violent, or just violent.  But this activity, or the residue thereafter, is at the least somewhat suspicious.
